During your first visit to Virginia Prosthetics, one of our certified practitioners will examine you and conduct a thorough evaluation to determine your prosthetic or orthotic needs.
After evaluating you, the practitioner will review and fill the prescription provided by your doctor, or contact your doctor if the practitioner thinks you would benefit from a different prescription.
The device will then be custom-made on site in our state-of-the-art fabrication facility or ordered from our qualified supplier network.
When the device is completed, you’ll return to our office and the practitioner will evaluate the device’s fit and performance.
A follow up appointment will be scheduled if necessary.
